“Laredo has lost an angel and true champion of the neediest in our community. She was not only our dear friend; she was a dear friend to the Bethany House, a cause which she worked on tirelessly and with passion and commitment to help the hungry and homeless in Laredo. But Barbara also cared for the entire community, as her heart was always dedicated to helping others. On behalf of the City of Laredo, my heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to Judge Kazen and her family.”
