Calling All Vendors: Learn how to do business with the City of Laredo

The City of Laredo Purchasing Division will be hosting a free workshop on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, from 2:30 – 5:00 p.m., at the City of Laredo Public Works Service Center, locate at 5512 Thomas Avenue, for all businesses who are interested in working with the City of Laredo. “This is a great opportunity for local companies who have goods and services to sell and would like to be able to service the City of Laredo,” said Francisco Meza, purchasing director for the City of Laredo. This free workshop will discuss the City of Laredo’s procurement requirements; present the latest bid opportunities for vendors; feature the buyers and contacts from each department; and allow businesses to register as a vendor with the City of Laredo. There is no official registration required and anyone interested can stop by any time during the allotted time to meet one on one with individual staff members; there will not be any formal presentations for the procurement procedures.
