Padilla Guilty Gets Two Years for Indecency with a Child

Eduardo Padilla was found guilty on two counts of Indecency with a Child by Contact, a second degree felony with a range of punishment of 2 to 20 years. The jury was deadlocked on two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault, a first degree felony. The defendant’s son was on the stand yesterday. He testified as to his father’s kindness towards him and to his father having been a positive role model in his life. The defendant’s family was present in the courtroom during the reading of the verdict and during the child’s testimony. Padillas was given a two years sentence for the two counts of Indecency with a Child.
District Attorney Isidro Alaniz was also present in the courtroom during the reading of the verdict.
