Webb County Judge Danny Valdez to host 13th Annual Special Student of the Month Ceremony

Webb County, TX – Webb County Judge Danny Valdez will host his 13th Annual Special Student of the Month Ceremony. Rene De La Vina, a former Special Education Teacher at Cigarroa High School had a dream that has become a reality. Thanks to Judge Danny Valdez , and Rene De La Vina who organized this program to honor physically and mentally challenged students of U.I.S.D, L.I.S.D, and W.C.I.S.D for their super achievements in school. Special education teachers from the different high schools will be recognizing a Special Student of the Month. We believe that recognizing specially challenged students for their super achievements will benefit them physically, socially, mentally and spiritually. Families and the community at large are strengthened and unified by participating with specially challenged students in an environment of equality, respect and acceptance.
