Vidal M. Trevino Magnet School “Rock the Arts” Recruitment Week

The Vidal M. Trevino School of Communication and Fine Arts Magnet School will be holding its annual recruitment week for Laredo Independent School District middle school students. The VMT recruitment team is scheduled to “Rock the Arts” at all LISD middle schools beginning Monday, February 21, through Thursday, February 24.
The VMT recruitment week will kick-off on Monday, February 21, at 11:00 a.m. at Cigarroa Middle School.
Representatives from each Communications and Fine Arts Department’s as well as teachers and students will provide a glimpse of what it’s like to attend Laredo’s premiere magnet school. Other similar events are planned every day through Thursday, February 24, also at 11:00 a.m.

Tuesday, February 22 Memorial Middle School 11:00 a.m.
Wednesday, February 23 Lamar Middle School 11:00 a.m.
Thursday, February 24 Christen Middle School 11:00 a.m.
The Vidal M. Trevino Magnet School is well known for its talented students and faculty, but the school has also excelled in academics and plans to highlight their achievements on state tests. The School opened in 1993 and was named for the late, Vidal M. Trevino, who was superintendent at LISD for 22 years.
Vidal M. Trevino School for Communications and Fine Arts promotes creativity through innovative technology and cross-curricular instruction among the arts, communications, and academics in an enriched learning environment. At the same time, the VMT School promotes a safe and healthy educational environment.
