Multiple Burglaries Solved Arrests Made

On Friday, January 28, 2011 at approximately 11:30pm, one Ruben Vela, was arrested after he committed a Burglary of Habitation at 400 Amador Salinas. On Monday, January 31, 2011 CAPROS began their investigation on Ruben Vela and Bridget Garcia and their involvement on several burglaries. The investigation revealed that Ruben Vela was accompanied by Bridget Garcia, and Samuel Garcia. After about two weeks, Investigators from the CAPROS division cleared 10 cases of Burglary and 2 cases of Theft. The Burglary of Habitations occurred at 2500 Boulanger, 3900 Black Kettle, 4400 Antonienta, 4400 Caroline, 200 S. Meadow, 800 Laurel, 1900 Orange Blossom, 1200 N. Oakmont, 200 Riverbank, and 100 Lynn. The Thefts occurred at 805 San Dario and at 2010 Loma Del Sur. Investigators were able to solve the cases based on the following: suspect’s method of operation, interviews of suspects, and stolen items recovered from different locations throughout Laredo.
Bridget Garcia was charged with 6 counts of Burglary of Habitation and 1 Theft.
Ruben Vela was charged with 10 counts of Burglary of Habitation and 1 Theft.
Samuel Garcia was charged with 8 counts of Burglary of Habitation and 1 Theft.
