LISD Secondary Science Fair

Laredo Independent School District Science Department will be hosting a Science fair for LISD secondary school students on Thursday, February 24, and Friday, February 25. The fair is being held at the Laredo Civic Center Ballroom.
The purpose of the Science Fair is for students to learn about the scientific process in preparation for the upcoming TAKS testing. Coordinating the Science Fair is secondary Science Dean Chris Lozano.
Judging for the Science Fair will take place Thursday, February 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Judges participating with the Science Fair include; professionals from the medical, educational, and law enforcement fields, and college students majoring in education.
Viewing of the science projects is scheduled for Friday, February 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The viewing of the projects is free of charge and open to the public. After the viewing, and awards ceremony will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
