Mini Child Car Seat Inspection Event this Friday

Laredo, Tx-In accordance with course requirements for participants currently training to become certified Child Passenger Safety (CPS) technicians, Safe Riders will sponsor a mini child car seat check event on Friday, January 14, 2011 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Approximately 17 CPS technician (tech) trainees will put into action their child car seat restraint skills learned this week during the brief child car seat inspection event. The inspection for proper installation of child car seats will be the primary responsibility of CPS tech trainees, although, Safe Kids CPS course instructors, and TxDOT certified CPS techs and volunteers will also be on hand to lend assistance.
The event is being hosted by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Laredo District Office and held at the Laredo Area Office (south building) located at 1817 Bob Bullock Loop. The event starts promptly at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2011. Vehicles may line up beginning at 12:30 p.m. Services are free of charge, and will be administered on a first come, first serve basis.
