CITY OF LAREDO CLOSURE NOTICE

All City of Laredo administrative offices will be closed on Monday, January 17, 2011 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. national holiday. Protective and emergency services will be operational.
No garbage or recycling pick-up will be available that day. The City of Laredo Landfill will also be open that day. Trash pick-up will resume on regularly scheduled routes on Tuesday. Recycling pick-up for zip code 78046 will be on Tuesday, January 18, 2011.
The Laredo Public Library will be closed on Monday, January 17, 2011. The Bruni Plaza branch will be closed Monday and Tuesday, January 18, 2011.
The City of Laredo Municipal Court will also be closed on Monday, January 17, 2011. Individuals scheduled to appear in court that day have an additional 10 working days to make an appearance. Contact Municipal Court for more information at 794-1680.
El Metro bus schedule will run on regularly scheduled routes on Monday.
City of Laredo administrative offices will re-open on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, during normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The next regularly scheduled City Council meeting will be Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall.
King was instrumental in helping to end segregation in school and was a leader in securing civil rights for minorities.
