Webb County Sheriff’s Deputies Seize Heroin and Cash on Highway 83

Laredo, Texas (Webb County) – On Sunday December 12, 2010 at approximately 11:30 p.m., Webb County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on HWY 83 and Sierra Vista. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputies identified the driver as David Alfaro, 25 years of age display suspicious behavior. During the investigation a total of 6.1 grams of Heroin were discovered and seized totaling an estimated street value of $1,024.80. In addition $3,180.00 in cash was seized. Alfaro was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of a controlled substance Felony 1. He was transported to the Webb County Jail.
“Over a period of the past 5 days, the Webb County Sheriff’s Office has seized a significant amount of narcotics from different areas of our community. However, The Webb county Sheriff’s Office will continue to work hard in keeping our community and children safe.” Stated Sheriff Cuellar.
