One-Way Traffic Control on US 59

LAREDO – Effective today, December 20 until December 22, 2010, both westbound and eastbound US 59 traffic will experience one-way traffic control as they approach a one-mile section of road undergoing pavement rehabilitation work. The affected area is located approximately 6 miles west of Laredo .
One-way traffic control will be in effect for east- and westbound lanes during daytime hours. Traffic should be prepared to stop. Expect 5-10 minute delays. However, lanes will reopen fully to traffic during nighttime hours.
Highway maintenance work consists of pavement milling and inlay of new asphalt pavement being performed by Anderson Colombia, Inc. The traveling public encouraged to observe advanced warning traffic safety signs, road markings and channelization devices in and around the work area.
