Holiday Fitness Festival

The Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL) Initiative is hosting a “Holiday Fitness Festival” on Saturday, December 11th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at North Central Park, 10202 International Blvd.
The entire community is invited to participate in free and fun activities such as Frisbee golf, spinning classes, soccer and baseball camps, yoga, punt, pass, and kick, cheerleading and dance, and more. Prizes will be raffled throughout the day and free healthy snacks will be provided.
Youth under 18 years of age will need to have a parent sign a consent form which will be available online at www.laredoheal.org and at the event registration area.
Event parking will be available at the main entrance on International Blvd. and at the unpaved lots between Taco Tote and Montana Mikes Restaurant.
The Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL) Laredo Initiative has been developed as a resource to combat the prevalence of obesity and diabetes in Laredo and the surrounding area. Through a coordinated, community-wide approach that includes outreach and health promotion efforts, along with targeted environmental and policy changes, the HEAL Laredo Initiative aims to mobilize the community toward a healthier lifestyle.
