LAREDO – A Child Passenger (CPS) Safety Training Workshop will be held January 11-14, 2011 at the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Laredo District Office. The four-day CPS technician training course, sponsored by Safe Riders, will train and equip persons to provide hands-on assistance to parents and caregivers regarding the correct selection and use of child safety seats. Persons completing this course will receive a two-year (renewable) certification.
“This CPS technician training course in Laredo will do much to improve statistical rates through educational activities such as child seat check events,” also said Luera, a senior CPS technician and one of several instructors for the upcoming training.
