Rep. Raymond Files Legislation to Protect Texas Families
LAREDO–Rep. Richard Peña Raymond (D-Laredo) HJR 36 provides that the Texas State Legislature may not tax any food, drink, medicine, or child-care service that are not being taxed already. This constitutional amendment is designed to protect Texas families from paying additional taxes on basic necessities. Rep. Richard Raymond Peña will hold a news conference tomorrow November 9th in Laredo at the Laredo District Office located at 1110 Houston (3rd Floor) at 1:00p.m.
