CBP Prepares to Process Expected Surge for Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday

LAREDO, TEXAS –U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announces that it will employ holiday facilitation measures in advance of the expected surge in northbound traffic during Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday. CBP will continue to monitor the traffic and open all 12 passenger vehicle traffic lanes at Lincoln-Juarez Bridge and four at the Gateway to the Americas Bridge .
CBP officers would like to remind the public that the Colombia-Solidarity Bridge will also be open for operation from 8 a.m. to 12 midnight and has four primary passenger vehicle lanes. CBP encourages the public to terminate all cellular phone calls and to have their documents readily accessible to present to the CBP officer upon arrival at the primary inspection booth, as well as to declare all items that are being introduced into the U.S. Failure to declare prohibited items may result in a penalty.
