Weekend IH 35 SBFR Closure Extended

The closure of IH 35 Southbound frontage road (SBFR) between from IH 35 SB exit #4 through Santa Maria Ave. and Del Mar Blvd. has been extended to Sunday, September 26, 2010 at 9 p.m. due to continuation of milling, paving and installation of pavement markings of the IH 35 SBFR. Originally, closure was scheduled for September 24-25, 2010.
Detours include the following: Santa Maria Avenue will be closed to thru traffic between Industrial Blvd. and Del Mar Blvd. (local traffic only). Northbound traffic towards Del Mar Blvd. will be detoured onto eastbound Mann Rd. for access to IH-35 or IH-35 SBFR ( San Bernardo Ave. ). Traffic on the FM 1472 Southbound Direct Connector will be directed onto IH-35, since the Southbound Exit Ramp to Santa Maria Ave. will be closed.
The traveling public is asked to drive with extreme caution and observe all traffic safety signs and road markings in and around the work area.
