Rubio Pleads Guilty to having threatened and unlawfully restrained girlfriend

The Domestic Violence Unit of the District Attorney’s Office reports that Rolando Rene Rubio entered a guilty plea today in the 406th District Court and was sentenced to three years in jail by the Honorable Judge Oscar J. Hale.
Rubio has been incarcerated at the Webb County Jail ‘since his arrest and was brought into the courtroom in handcuffs. He pled guilty to having threatened his girlfriend with imminent bodily injury by pointing a firearm at her while keeping her unlawfully restrained against her will. The incident took place on December 7, 2009.
