Correctional Officer Seizes Black Tar Heroin at the Webb County Jail

Laredo, Texas (Webb County) – On Friday, August 20, 2010, at approximately 10 a.m., a Webb County jail correctional officer, while conducting mail screening seized a suspicious substance. The suspicious substance was known to be 2.5 grams of black tar heroin inserted in a birthday card. The heroin has an estimated street value of $530.00. Investigation is ongoing by the Webb County Sheriff’s Office.
