The White Wings took the lead in the bottom of the second after the Broncos left the bases loaded in both of the first two frames. Eric Gonzalez picked up his 29th RBI of the season with a single to give the White Wings a 1-0 lead. Roberto Rodriguez added an RBI single two batters later and the score was 2-0 Wings. The Broncos offense picked up five hits in the first four innings and then fell silent; going hitless in the final five innings of the ball game.
Their lone run came in the top of the sixth when David Fowler, who entered the game after Luany Sanchez was knocked out by Eric Gonzalez on a play at the plate; was hit by a pitch. A throwing error on Andres Rosales moved Fowler to third and he came home to score when D.J Dixon hit an RBI ground out.
The Wings added two more against Eden in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI single by Gonzalez and an RBI fielder’s choice by Joel Roa to push the lead to 5-0 Wings.
