The Laredo Broncos of the United League announce today that they have released LHP Franklyn Gracesqui and 3B Ben Wolgamot and placed RHP Michael Lucas on the disabled list and moved RHP Dimitri Camareno to the suspended list.
Gracesqui, who had assumed the closer role for the Broncos had an 0-1 record with an ERA of 4.70 in 7.2 innings pitched. He did pick up four saves for the Broncos which led the team. Gracesqui had allowed four runs, nine hits, he walked six and struck out seven in eight games for the Broncos in 2010.
Wolgamot in 33 games, had gone 25 for 104. Good for a .240 batting average. Wolgamot led the Broncos in walks and on base percentage with 24 and .423 respectively.
Lucas, on June 26th was forced to leave a game early due to loss of feeling in his throwing arm. An MRI later revealed a partial tear of his UCL. Lucas is most likely finished for the season and will head home to Pennsylvania to rehab.
RHP Dimitri Camareno has been put on the suspended list and has left the team for personal reasons.
