WEBB COUNTY SHERIFF MARTIN CUELLAR WITH THE CITY OF LAREDO PARTNER TO BRING FREE LITTLE LEAGUE CLINICS TO THE AREA, DURING THE LAREDO BRONCOS SEASON

 Laredo, TX- The Laredo Broncos of the United League announce that they will be hosting the Second  Annual free baseball clinics for Little Leaguers in Laredo on Select Saturday’s when the Broncos are playing at home.

 “This is a great way to give back to the community of Laredo,” says Broncos General Manager Jose Melendez, “we love giving the chance for the future baseball players to learn from some of the great players and coaches we have, and it shows how dedicated we are to the children.”

 The Broncos will host 4 clinics during the year.  They are on June 5th, June 26th, July 17th, and August 14th.  It is open to anyone that plays Little League Baseball or Pony League in the City of Laredo and surrounding communities.  Broncos Field Manager Dan Firova and Hitting Coach Alejandro Ortiz are looking forward to working with the kids.  “The Broncos and myself can not wait to start to working with the kids this year.  We love that we get the opportunity to help these kids learn the basic ropes of playing great baseball.”

 The clinics will begin at 10:00 am and will be conducted at Veterans Field.  As a special treat, any Little Leaguer that comes to the clinic, will be able to get free tickets for themselves and their family to that nights game.  The Broncos are glad to be working with the Webb County Sheriff Martin Cuellar’s Office and they are glad to provide this great opportunity for the children of Laredo. “One of the Sheriff’s priorities is keeping children off of the streets and to be safe.  These clinics are a way to give parents a place for their children to be in a safe environment.  Plus it provides a great activity for the children to play some sports and keep active.”

 The City of Laredo Parks and Leisure Service is also looking forward to this great event.  Mr. Jesus Olivares, the Assistant City Manager can’t wait for the clinics to start.  “This is a great opportunity to help the City of Laredo.  The children will have a great time and get to learn the great game of baseball.”

 The Laredo Broncos begin their 5th season in 2009.
