Sheriff’s Deputies Seize Approximately $200,000 Worth of Black Tar Heroin Along with Weapons and Cash

              In conjunction with Precinct One Constables and ICE

 Laredo, Texas (Webb County) – On June 15, 2010,  Webb County Sheriff’s Deputies SWAT and K9 Team, along with Precinct one Constables  Team and ICE seized 2.7 Kilos of black tar heroin.  After an ongoing investigation, officers dismantled the contraband at the 4200 block of Valencia Street. The 2.7 kilos of the black tar heroin has an approximate street value of $200,000.    At the scene, Officers recovered three twelve gage shotguns, one assault rifle, assorted ammunition and related drug paraphernalia. In addition, a total of $9,000 U.S. Dollars were also recovered at this address.  Four male subjects were detained and turned over to federal authorities.

 “This seizure was obviously a big blow to a major heroin distributor, this is the result of good police work by the Webb County Sheriff’s Office and the assisting agencies in our efforts to protect citizens of Webb County”. Sheriff Martin Cuellar stated.
