LPD Narcotics and Vice Unit make a drug Bust on Monclova Find Drugs, Weapons, and over $14,000 in US currency

On May 21, 2010, at approximately 7:00 p.m., members of the Laredo Police Department’s Narcotics Unit received anonymous information regarding several large bundles of marijuana and cocaine were being stored at the 3400 block of Monclova near Los Presidentes subdivision. A multi-day surveillance was immediately set up on the residence which revealed suspicious activity. At approximately 7:45 p.m., consent to Search was executed at the residence. A search of the home revealed five bundles of marijuana weighing 52 pounds were located and recovered from a bedroom. A further search of the residence revealed a pound of cocaine, a handgun and $14,051.00 in a closet of another bedroom.
Arrested at the scene was Ivan Pedraza, 30 years of age. He was charged with Possession of Marijuana F/2 and Possession of Controlled Substance F/1 (cocaine). Defendant was remanded to the Webb Co. Jail pending Magistration.
