Iturbide To Be Closed For Concrete Repair Work

The City of Laredo Public Works Division will be repairing three sections of concrete that have collapsed on Iturbide. Crews will close the 1300 block of Iturbide on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, starting at 7:00 p.m. and will re-open on Monday, May 10 at 8:00 a.m.
City Public Works crews will remove the sections of collapsed concrete on Wednesday night and will be pouring the new concrete by Thursday morning, weather permitting.
Please not that the street will be under construction and will not have access to any vehicular traffic. However, please note that the sidewalks will be open at all times for pedestrians and shoppers.
Motorists are urged to find alternate routes, but if traveling in the area, to please drive with extreme caution and observe and obey all traffic control and detour signs for their safety and the safety of the construction crews working on this very important project.
