Unscrupulous Individuals seek donations on behalf of Fire Department
The Laredo Fire Department has received several calls from the public reporting that an organization is seeking monetary donations on our behalf for the purpose of funding Fire Department operations. The individuals calling state that there is a dire need for the public to contribute for the sake of public safety. They are mis-representing our department.
We want to avoid the public from being scammed as there is NO authorized monetary donation campaign for the purposes stated by the soliciting organization. Should you be contacted by anyone requesting funds for the LAREDO FIRE DEPARTMENT keep in mind that it is a scam to separate you from your hard earned money. Also, contact the Authorities after terminating the call if you wish to file a report.
