Cigarroa High School Blood Drive

 Cigarroa High School students and staff will be donating blood to the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center to assist them in maintaining an adequate supply of blood for our region. The blood drive hosted by Cigarroa High School will be held on Tuesday, May 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in rooms L305 and L307.

 Cigarroa High School is participating in the South Texas regional blood drive competition. Currently Cigarroa High is competing for the number one high school in South Texas with the most total number of units collected and highest percentage of blood donors“We are behind Clemens High School of San Antonio,” stated Elaine Ibarra, Cigarroa High School HOSA Advisor. “We have collected 444 units this past year and need to collect 140 more units to win. We are asking students, teachers, administrators, parents and staff to please donate. The Pride of South Laredo can give the Gift of Life! Donate blood! Make us Toro Proud!!

 High school students who donate a total of 6 times automatically receive a red cord which is worn during graduation!
