BRONCOS TO HOST 2ND EXHIBITION GAME OF THE YEAR

Laredo, TX- The Laredo Broncos of the United League announce today they will host their second exhibition game of the 2010 season at Veterans Field. The date is set for Monday, May 24th, with first pitch at 7:30 PM, admission is free.
“This is a great opportunity for the fans of the Laredo Broncos to come out and see the team we have assembled for the 2010 season,” says Broncos General Manager Jose Melendez. “And not only do you get to watch the Broncos, but you get to see them go up against some of the best talent that Laredo has. It should be a very fun weekend”
This will mark the second time in as many years that the Laredo Broncos and the Laredo Adult Baseball All-Stars have played an exhibition game. In 2009 The Broncos defeated the Laredo Adult Baseball All-Stars 7-3 in a game played at Veterans Field on June 6th.
The Laredo Adult Baseball league has been around for 11 years and 98% of the league’s talent is local and high school players. The Laredo Adult Baseball League President Marcos Escamilla is excited for his team to take on the Broncos. “We’re very happy to be playing the Laredo Broncos again. We had a great turnout last year and we hope that the Broncos continue to play in our city for years to come.”
The exhibition game will start at 7:30 PM at Veterans Field and are sponsored by the City of Laredo Parks & Recreation Department. Admission will once again be free and the concession stands will be open. This is a great opportunity for the City of Laredo to come out and see the exciting baseball action that will be taking place at Veterans Field during the 2010 season.
The Laredo Broncos begin their 5th season in 2010. The Broncos will play a 93 game season from late May to the end of August with 45 home games scheduled for Veterans Field.
