City of Laredo Mayor Raul G. Salinas proclaimed next week as Week of the Young Child, thanks to Workforce Solutions for South Texas-Child Care Services, DFPS, Licensing, Hands Across Texas and other local organizations, in conjunction with the National Association for the
Education of Young Children, who are working to improve early learning opportunities, which are crucial to the growth and development of young children, and are building better futures for everyone in Laredo, Texas, Webb, Zapata and Jim Hogg Counties. All young children and their families across the country and in Laredo, Texas and surrounding areas deserve access to high-quality early education and care; and by recognizing and supporting the people, programs and policies that are committed to high-quality early childhood education as the right choice for kids, Laredo children have a bright future indeed. Joining Mayor Salinas were children from various local daycare centers in town, all happy and eager to be in the spotlight.
