St. Peter’s Memorial School Celebrates Playground Shade Structure

St. Peter’s Memorial School recently held a ceremony and celebration for their newly installed playground shade structure. After years of grant applications, receiving approvals from the Historical commission and design and construction, the structures are finally in place to protect the little angles playing throughout the school year. Joining the school at their celebration were District Attorney Isidro “Chilo” Alaniz; Rev. Tobey Guerrero, priest at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church; Dr. Rosa Maria Vida, Superintendent of Schools for the Diocese of Laredo; Dr. Linda Maria Garcia Mitchell, principal of St. Peter’s Memorial School; Nelly Cedillo, president of the St. Peter’s Memorial School Parent Teacher Organization; Fernando Morales, President of the St. Peter’s Memorial School Advisory Board; Investigator Romo of the D.A.’s Office; and Alicia Johnson, St. Peter’s Memorial School Advisory Board Member.
