On Wednesday, 04/07/2010 01:50 am LPD officers were dispatch to an assault in progress by RUMORS Bar and Grill located at 9801 McPherson Road. Security guards had a male subject detained. Arriving officers made contact with security guards from RUMORS who stated that waitresses at around 01:45 told the guards that the male subject was getting aggressive in the patio area. After monitoring the aggressive bar patron the security officer alleged that Ricardo Gonzalez was seen coming behind other bar patrons who were standing at the bar and shoved them from the back then proceed to walk away. At that point security decided to take him out of the bar. The security officers asked Gonzalez to leave but refused. The guards then forcibly walked Gonzalez out of the Bar and Gonzalez became very aggressive and began to struggle with them. They stated that Gonzalez turned around and with a close fist punched one of the guards on his right side of the face. At that point both guards placed Gonzalez in handcuffs while Police were called to the scene. The assaulted Security Officer stated that he wished to file assault charges on Gonzalez. Gonzalez was then placed under arrest and charged with Assault on a Security Officer F/3. Gonzalez became belligerent and started to hit his head on the plexy glass and started to kick on the passenger side door. Once arrived at the LPD sally port several officers took Gonzalez off the car and into the booking area. Inside the booking room Gonzalez was still being combative and when the arresting officer told Gonzalez to calm down, Gonzalez spat in the officer’s face (in his right eye).  Gonzalez was then placed in the violent cell for safety precautions. Gonzalez was additionally charged with Resisting Transport C/A and Harassment of a Public Servant F/3 (SALIVA). GONZALEZ was later remanded to the Webb County Jail in lieu of no bond set by Justice of the Peace Oscar Martinez.
