Postponed Closure of IH 35 SBML and IH 35 NBOL

LAREDO – Due to unexpected circumstances the closure of IH 35 southbound mainlanes and IH 35 northbound outside lane closure were postponed to Monday-Tuesday of this coming week:
Weather permitting on Monday, March 15, 2010 at 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, Rosiek Construction will close IH 35 southbound (SB) mainlanes under the FM 1472 (Mines Rd.) northbound direct connector currently under construction in order to pour concrete on the bridge deck.
Detour in effect: IH 35 SB mainlanes traffic must take exit #4 to Santa Maria Ave. to IH 35 SB frontage road (FR) to IH 35 SB entrance ramp to re-access IH 35 mainlanes.
Also, weather permitting on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 from 4:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m., Rosiek Construction crews will close the IH 35 northbound outside lane (NBOL) approaching the FM 1472 (Mines Rd.) northbound direct connector to place traffic barrels adjacent to concrete traffic barriers. Current traffic pattern merges traffic from three to two IH 35 northbound lanes. This pattern will continue without any hindrances.
The traveling public should slow down, drive with extreme caution, and observe all safety signs, traffic control devices and flaggers in the work zone area.
