Sheriff’s Office Investigation Leads Deputies to Drugs and Guns

Laredo, Texas (Webb County) – On February 26, 2010, a narcotics investigation by the Webb County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with The Laredo Police Department and The Federal Bureau of Investigation led Sheriff’s Deputies to a residence located at the 2500 block of Zaragoza where 30.6 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of $2,000.00 along with 1.9 grams of heroin with an estimated street value of $400.00 along with Drug Paraphernalia were seized. This seizure indicates that street level amounts of narcotics were being sold from the residence. Two shotguns, one semi automatic handgun and assorted ammunition were also recovered. Miguel Angel Esparza, 26 and David Ramos, 27 were arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance a felony 2 and felony 3 offense. Esparza and Ramos were transported to The Webb County Jail in lieu of no bond pending magistration.
