Rene Rios, Manager of HEBplus! And Bob Tellez, HEB, Director of Operations, present City of Laredo Mayor Raul G. Salinas with a $3,000 donation for the “Rooftop Santa for Seniors,” drive. Salinas and members of the Border Media radio broadcast teams spent three days on the rooftop of HEBplus!, collecting blankets, gloves, food and other essential items for Laredo’s elderly community. Also in the picture is Hot 106.1 DJ “Sammy the House” and the mayor’s wife, Yolanda Salinas, while a young Laredo girl looks on. HEB, BMP Radio and Mayor Salinas are already planning for the 2010 ‘Rooftop Santa for Seniors,’ in Laredo.
