Courtesy Xochitl Mora,
Starting on Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at 10:00 a.m., Seymour Avenue between Lane Street and Musser Street and Freemont Street between Loring Avenue and Meadow Avenue will be closed. This work is expected to last approximately four weeks and additional street closures will be announced as they arise. This closure will not impact east-west traffic along Lane and Musser Street or north-south traffic on Seymour and Mendiola.
The contractor, ALC Construction, is working on the drainage system that will greatly improve the drainage infrastructure in the area and also includes replacing existing sanitary sewer main, as well as junction boxes, reinforced concrete pipe, concrete slot inlets, valley gutters, water main line replacement and other miscellaneous items.
Motorists are urged to find alternate routes, but if traveling in the area, to please drive with extreme caution and observe and obey all traffic control and detour signs for their safety and the safety of the construction crews working on this very important project.
