Laredo Police Raid the Mystic Amusement Center

It was a busy Sunday for the Laredo Police Department as 2 search warrants were served at the Mystic Amusement Center at Shiloh and McPherson Ave and a residence of Ernesto Cuevas Villarreal, owner of the Mystic Amusement Center. At approximately 3 pm the warrants were served simultaneously. At the amusement center the Laredo police identified and photographed the customers inside the business (20) at the time of the raid. They may be called as potential witnesses in a future criminal prosecution. The police found $12,223 in currency inside the machines and the office. 
At the residence officers found $113,938 in currency in hidden locations throughout the home and also three fire arms, including one assault rifle. Ernesto Cuevas Villarreal, 07-31-81, was arrested by ATF agents for foreign alien in possession of a firearm. At the Mystic one of the employees was arrested for having an outstanding warrant completely unrelated to the business. Sergio Eduardo Valenzuela Avalos, 10-10-67, was taken into custody for warrants from 2008 for Criminal Mischief and Harassment, bond info not available. The computer “motherboards” will be removed from the machines and entered into evidence. The case is still considered under investigation.
