Subjects Busted with False Credit Cards worth in the Thousands of Dollars

On Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009 three subjects; Carlos Alberto Sepulveda De La O, , Luis Raul Acosta Beltran, , and Jose Antonio Gonzalez Vargas, , 
were charged with Credit Card Abuse SJF. The above mentioned subjects were arrested at La Posada Hotel after their credit cards they used were flagged after a vigilant employee of the hotel noticed suspicious inconsistencies with the men. Upon further investigation it was revealed that the subjects had over 120 fake credit cards in their possession. Downtown Patrol Officers and Crimes Against Property Investigators seized the credit cards, gift cards, and all the high end items that were purchased with the fraudulent credit cards. 
The investigation so far reveals that the three subjects possibly purchased the credit cards in Nuevo Laredo and had been in Laredo the past week after crossing illegally. ICE was also notified and the three subjects are in the process of being properly identified. This case is still ongoing and the total cash value of fraudulent credit accounts, purchases could potentially add up into the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
