Courtesy Xochitl Mora,
Starting on Monday, October 5, 2009, at 7:00 a.m., Meadow Avenue between Corpus Christi Street and Guadalupe Street and Laredo Street between Seymour Avenue and Mendiola Avenue will be closed. This work is expected to last approximately one week and additional street closures will be announced as they arise. This closure will not impact east-west traffic along Corpus Christi and Guadalupe Street nor north-south traffic on Seymour and Mendiola.
The contractor, ALC Construction, is working on the drainage system that will greatly improve the drainage infrastructure in the area and also includes replacing existing sanitary sewer main, as well as junction boxes, reinforced concrete pipe, concrete slot inlets, valley gutters, water main line replacement and other miscellaneous items.
Motorists are urged to find alternate routes, but if traveling in the area, to please drive with extreme caution and observe and obey all traffic control and detour signs for their safety and the safety of the construction crews working on this very important project
