Tremendous Show of Support and Respect for Webb County Commissioner Rosaura “Wawi” Tijerina

Friends and Family showed an overwhelmingly amount of support for Webb County Commissioner Rosaura “Wawi” Tijerina on her birthday. Surrounded by the well wishers Commissioner Tijerina thanked everyone in attendance that included a dignataries from Nuevo Laredo as well as current Webb County and City of Laredo Public Servants. Commissioner Tijerina also announced her re-election campaign noting accomplishements of her administration as well as current and future projects that need to continue to move forward. After the speech the evening continued with dinner that was catered by Paulina’s Catering which served a huge mexican style buffet that included enchiladas, gorditas, rice, and beans and many more tasty items.
The evening was casual and exciting at the same time as she walked and greeted every guest at the event taking pictures alongside friends such as Justice of the Peace Hector Liendo, Justice of the Peace Oscar Liendo, Judge Jesus “Chuy” Garza, Webb County Clerk Margie Ibarra, Webb County Commissioner Jerry Garza, Webb County Tax Assesor Patricia Barrera, and City Councilman Hector “Tito” Garcia who will be running for Webb County Treasurer, the event also drew up and coming Political Names like Tano Tijerina who on Wednesday announced his campaign bid for Webb County Judge as well as Jackie Ramos Levin 
who is seeking the position of Webb County District Clerk. The event was also attened by Webb County Democratic Chair Sergio Mora these are just a few of the big names that turned out to support and pay respect to Webb County Commissioner Rosaura “Wawi” Tijerina. The event was held at the 201 Gallery downtown on Thursday September 17th. Over 275 guests were in attendance.
