SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR ASSAULTING ELDERLY LADY!

On Wednesday September 23, 2009 at approximately 6:19pm Laredo Police received a 911 call on a robbery in progress by Riverbank Dr. and Quail Creek Rd. A 67yr old lady had been physically assaulted and her purse stolen by a male subject who was later identified as Alejandro Javier Aguirre 23yrs old d.o.b. 6/5/86 who resides on Drake St.
Upon arrival officers canvassed the area and after a brief foot chase, officers apprehended the suspect. Officers were able to recover the victim’s purse and personal belongings.
The victim was transported to the hospital by relatives. The suspect was booked and charged with Robbery F/2, Resisting Arrest C/A and Evading Arrest C/B. The suspect was remanded to Webb County Jail pending Magistatrtion.
