S.O.S. School Supplies To Be Distributed To School Districts

Organizers and sponsors of the S.O.S. (Supply Our Students) campaign will be holding a press conference Wednesday, September 23 to distribute school supplies collected during the 10th Annual Supply Our Students Concert held September 9th at LIFE Downs. The event was sponsored by Webb County Judge Danny Valdez, the City of Laredo, Guerra Communications, LISD and UISD and corporate sponsors.
Since its inception, the S.O.S. event has provided over 80 tons of school supplies for needy students to help them be successful in school. This year’s event raised 16 tons of school supplies for the school districts and its students.
The press conference will start at 11 a.m. in front of Guerra Communications located on Jacaman Road.
Officials from each school district will be on hand to accept the supplies from Judge Valdez.
