Mayor Proclaims Fall Prevention Week

Earlier this week, City of Laredo Mayor Raul G. Salinas, along with members of the local AARP Chapter 965, proclaimed the week Fall Prevention Week in Laredo, to bring awareness to the issue of falls among the elderly and their impact on society, in terms of cost due to injuries, or even worse, loss of life. Joining Mayor Salinas are AARP members, left to right, Rosa Elia Vasquez, Vice-President; Margarita Rodriguez, member; Sylvia Cardenas, member; Fela Vidaurri, member; Catalina T. Reyna, member; Mary D. Gutierrez, Telephone committee chairman; and Mary C. Castillo, Treasurer.
