LISD Teacher Aid Indicted

L.I.S.D. teacher aide Jose Angel Casarez (09/24/1962) was indicted yesterday by a Grand Jury in the 406th District Court. The criminal investigation alleges that two female students under the age of fourteen out cried to their Vice Principal who then reported the incident to Laredo Independent School District Police.
The defendant has been charged with two separate counts of Indecency with a Child by Contact (one count per victim). This charge is a second degree felony with a punishment range of two to twenty years.
The victims allege that the incident took place at Christen Middle School on or about the 27th of February 2007 and both victims are cooperating with authorities.
Assistant District Attorney Ramon Villafranca, Jr. presented the case to Grand Jurors. An arraignment date will be set by the 406th District Court.
