Make some time for laughs at Texas A&M International University. Two professional comedians will perform at 7 p.m. at the TAMIU Student Center, room 236. Texas A&M International University will host the
7th Annual Texas A&M University System Pathways to the Doctorate Student Research Symposium November 13-14, 2009.  This Symposium offers intellectual opportunities for promoting discussion on the wide breadth of research topics being conducted in the entire Texas A&M University System. The Conference highlights System members’ commitment to research, and desire to share this with others. In addition to standard poster presentations, a limited number of oral presentations will be offered for Humanities majors. Registration deadline is October 19. Texas A&M International University’s Rape Aggression Defense System
(R.A.D.) continues today. This 12-hour program is offered on campus from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m., Monday – Thursday. The class is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. This program is only open to women. Register for the course at RAD@tamiu.edu or call 326-2100.

Texas A&M International University College of Arts and Sciences Center for the Fine and Performing Arts presents the new fall exhibit featuring detailed ink drawings and sculptures by Brian Row. Admission is free and open to the public, but some of the art is for mature audiences only. The exhibit will be on display in the CFPA Gallery through Oct. 8.
