LISD to close for General Session

All Laredo Independent School District campuses and administrative offices will be closed on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. due to staff development.
Close to 5000 LISD employees will participate in the annual Back to School Celebration, with this year’s theme “race to success.” The celebration will be held at the Laredo Entertainment Center. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., for a Health Fair which is sponsored by Laurel Insurance. The actual program begins at 1:30 p.m.
LISD campuses and administrative offices will re-open on Thursday, August 20, at 8:00 a.m.
