Jury Selection Today in 406th District Court

Jury selection began today in the criminal trial of Manuel Abrego (dob 2/10/1973). Abrego is charged with three separate counts of Indecency with a Child by Contact, a second degree felony. He is accused of having violated three young boys, all under the age of ten and all related to each other, in December of 2007.
Paul Thompson and Raul Guerra, prosecutors for the District Attorney’s Special Victims Unit, will be representing the State. Jesse Guillen and Marc Gonzalez are representing the Defendant. Opening arguments are expected to begin early tomorrow.
