Temporary closure of Santa Maria Ave. for night work at FM 1472 direct connector Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 11:30 p.m. to Friday, July 3, 2009 at 7 a.m. Affected area will be Santa Maria Ave. underneath the FM 1472 (Mines Rd.) southbound direct connector (SBDC) from FM 1472 over Union Pacific Railroad to Del Mar Blvd.-IH 35 in Laredo/Webb County.
It will be closed to place concrete for bridge slab for FM 1472 (Mines Rd.) southbound direct connector (SBDC) over Santa Maria Ave. at FM 1472
Weather permitting the above mentioned work will take place as described. Detours will be in effect:
● FM 1472 (Mines Rd.) SB (southbound) traffic will be routed to the IH 35 southbound entrance ramp. FM 1472 (Mines Rd.) southbound traffic approaching Santa Maria Ave. will not be allowed access to Santa Maria Ave. due to overhead work.
● FM 1472 (Mines Rd.) NB (northbound) traffic will not be able to travel beyond the intersection of FM 1472-IH 35 and must find an alternate route as FM 1472 (Mines Rd.) will be closed to north- and southbound traffic from Del Mar Blvd. to the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) tracks. The traveling public may use IH 35 northbound to Shiloh Blvd. exit or Milo Interchange exit #8 for continued travel to FM 1472.
The traveling public should drive with extreme caution, and observe all safety signs, traffic control devices and flaggers in the work zone area.
