LPD / U.S. Marshals arrest man for Indecency with a child

Laredo PD and members of the U.S. Marshals fugitive task force arrested Jose Vega, 05-17-73, for 3 counts of indecency with a child / sexual contact Felony First Degree & 1 count of indecency with a child / exposure Felony First Degree. The report was made to the LPD Special Investigations Unit detectives when a 12 yr. old female out cried that she had been allegedly molested by Vega on June 08, 2009. Vega was released from prison on a drug case and was out on federal probation since November 2008. Vega was arrested at his residence on Convent Avenue this morning at approximately 9 am and then booked and remanded to Webb County Jail where he is being held under a combined bond amount of $240,000 set by Justice of the Peace Hector Liendo.
