DOWNTOWN LPD BIKE PATROL OFFICER HIT FROM BEHIND

An LPD downtown bike officer was at a stop sign when he was hit from behind by a small SUV. The woman driving the vehicle is in the final stages of pregnancy and had a contraction while she was at the stop behind the officer. She then let go of the brake and struck the officer from behind by accident. An ambulance was called to check the status of the actors in the accident. The officer did not sustain any physical injury. The woman was also ok and was cited and released for the accident.
