1,529 lbs of Marijuana Taken off Laredo Streets/ 7 arrests made

On 06-01-09, members of the Laredo Police Narcotics/Vice Unit along with the assistance of ICE agents arrested seven individuals; Vidal Eduardo Gomez-Camacho D.O.B. 06/17/80, Julio Sanchez-Vasquez D.O.B. 07/30/71, Adriana Alaniz-Delacruz D.O.B. 12/10/84, Claudia Garcia D.O.B. 10/30/89, Mario Alberto Cedillo-Obregon D.O.B. 12/14/75, Jesus Olivarez D.O.B. 09/03/87, and Juan Alberto Elizondo-Amaro D.O.B. 07/24/87 for one count each of Possession of Marijuana, 2nd Degree Felony and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, 1st Degree Felony. A total of 1,529 lbs of marijuana along with two weapons were seized from two different addresses listed below. All seven subjects were processed, charged, and later transported to the Webb County Jail where they remained pending an appearance before a magistrate. The bust comes from the result from a multiple day surveillance operation.
