Three Arrested for String of Robberies

On May 11, 2009 at approximately7:07 am patrol was dispatched to a robbery call at the 1300 Garza. The victim (18 yrs. old) provided patrol with a detailed description of the suspect vehicle in which 3 individuals robbed the victim of a MP3 Player by physically assaulting him. Seven minutes later patrol was dispatched to 2700 block of W. San Francisco for a reported second robbery. The victim (17 yrs. old) was also physically assaulted and robbed of his IPOD, during which time he was also threaten with a weapon by the driver. He also provided the same description of the vehicle.
At 7:34 am a third call of a robbery was received and patrol was dispatched to 1600 Garza and again the victim (16 yrs. old) described three individuals threaten him one with a gun and the other two individuals robbed him of his wallet.
The vehicle was spotted by LPD officers within close proximity of the robberies shortly after the initial call. Two of the assailants and both the car and the perpetrators were positively identified as the robbery suspects. The third suspect was identified as a 16 yr. old male minor. The juvenile was detained on May 12, 2009 at JJAEP and charged with two counts of Aggravated Robbery F/1, one count of robbery F/2 and 3 counts of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity F/1. He was advised of his Miranda warnings and taken to the Webb Co. Juvenile Dept.
On May 12, 2009 warrants were obtained for both Gabino Chavez and Daniel David Garza for the addition 2 robberies which had occurred. They were subsequently charged with 1 count each for Robbery F/2, 1 count each for Aggravated Robbery F/1, and 2 counts each for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity F/1. They were served with the warrants and held at the Webb Co. Jail on a $100,000.00 bond each for each count, set by J.P. Oscar Liendo.
